2014 Ghana Mission Schedule

2014 Missionary Journey, Ghana West Africa
John Michael Stainsby
Step by Step Worldwide Ministries

It is with great joy we are able to share Papa John's mission agenda where he will be on the mission field from February 1, 2014 to August 31, 2014.
His missionary assignment will take him to three regions of Ghana:  Western, Brong Ahafo, and Eastern.

He will spend one month in each of seven specific areas within those regions working with a team comprised of a guide, interpreter, and an evangelist from one of the established regional churches.

Each area has been designated as a priority mission field due to the lack of penetration into those areas because of location and accessibility. Many are in the bush and can only be accessed by foot. In each area he will be doing home to home evangelism.

In each area, John will be seeking souls for Christ while also establishing churches in areas where this is no church available to the people.

Church services will be held wherever they can find shelter, since much of the work will be done during the rainy seasons. According to custom, they will first meet with the local chief who will hear our mission and grant us permission to do our evangelistic work.

The chief will be the one to provide us with a structure, if any, to have their worship service. Most will be at night, seven days a week. In many cases, services will be held by the light of a flashlight.

In the event there is no shelter, the services will be outside in a designated open area.

Ministering to children in the villages will be a priority. John will spend much of his time with the children in each area sharing the love of Jesus and telling them of their Savior.

The mission field is where the Holy Spirit told John He would lead me to the orphans for Step By Step.

When his time is complete at the end of August, it is tentatively scheduled in September, to greet the arriving mission team from New Hampshire, and join them in their mission for the duration of their stay.
We pray that as John starts this Journey, we all come along side him in support of the great mission the Lord has set him on.   We intend to update this blog often as we get information sent to us from Ghana.  We hope we can share this process together.
Blessings to you.
